May has come and gone, which means it's time for another top 10 list of the most popular pages on this site. This month's list was almost the same as March, with just a bit of reshuffling, and one new entry that had never made the list before, A Skeptical Look at Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. I'm actually rather glad to see that page make the list, since I think it's useful information.

Overall traffic was up a bit from the previous few months, close but not quite up to the same level as the site's peak back in January. In fact, this was the second busiest month on the site ever. However, much like in January, I had a glut of spam comments, so I suspect that had something to do with it. I've updated the anti-spam policy, so that should hopefully get rid of most of the spam for a little while, at least.

I'm finally done with the project that was keeping me super busy. Now I just have projects to keep me busy. But hopefully I'll be able to get back in the swing of posting regularly again, and finally get back into the Friday Bible Blogging series.

Another month down, another chance to look at the server logs. Three old entries that had never made the list before made it this month - The Golden Compass - Is It Really Atheistic, and Should That Affect You Watching the Movie?, Book Review - Smithsonian Intimate Guide to Human Origins, and Blog - Texas Education Agency - Chris Comer. I'm not sure what would have made those pages suddenly popular. Overall traffic was similar to what it's been for the past several months.

I'll use this as an opportunity to apologize for not posting as frequently as I'd like. I've just been so busy that I haven't had time to post anything. And honestly, for the next few weeks at least, that will probably continue to be the case. Man oh man am I looking forward to when things settle out a bit. This hectic schedule sucks.

Now that March is over, it's once again time to look at the server logs and see which pages were most popular on this site. In fact, it was very similar to February. Only two pages made the list this month that hadn't the month prior, Review of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed and Friday Bible Blogging - 2 Chronicles 31 to 2 Chronicles 36. But even both of those had made the top 10 list before.

My Autogyro History & Theory page missed the list again this month, which is a little disappointing. For years and years, it was the most popular page on my site.

Traffic was similar to February - a bit higher overall because of the extra days, but very similar when averaged per day. That puts it in line with where I was at the end of last year, and a bit lower than the spike I had at the beginning of this year (a spike I'd guess was mostly due to spammers, not real visitors).

Another month gone by, another chance to look at the server logs. There were no huge surprises this week. Every page that made the list had made it before. However, the page, X-Plane as an Engineering Tool, hadn't made the list since 2010, so that was maybe a little bit of a surprise. And my Autogyro History & Theory page didn't make it this month, which was a little bit of a disappointment. I must say, given Ray Comfort's place on this blog, I am glad that the entry, Review of Ray Comfort's New Movie - Evolution vs. God, Part I, made the list again.

In the last top 10 update, I'd mentioned how I'd reconfigured my captcha to leave comments, blocking a lot of the spammers the site had been getting. I had a bit of a dropoff in traffic this month (down to what it was this past September), so I suspect that a decent portion of the previous increase was due to spammers, not real visitors. And while it is nice to see big traffic numbers, I know I'm kidding myself if they're not real people.

Well, I'm a little later than normal getting to it, but it's time to look through the server logs to see what pages were most popular on this site last month. For the most part, the top 10 pages were similar to the previous month. However, my Autogyro History & Theory page made it back into the list, and a blog entry, Physical Comparison of Humans to Other Animals, made the list for the first time since 2008. The distribution of top pages was interesting, including blog entries from 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, and 2013.

As far as overall traffic, January continued the trend of increasing traffic that the site's been experiencing for the past few months. By all measures of traffic, it was either the highest or among the highest ever for this site. However, peeking ahead to the February logs, it looks like this trend has reversed with traffic dropping a bit. The biggest change I've made in that time is reconfiguring my captcha when leaving comments, blocking a lot of the spam the site had been getting. So, I suspect that a decent portion of the previous increase was due to spammers, not real visitors.
