Expelled Exposed
I recently wrote a an entry about the upcoming movie, Expelled, and how biologist blogger PZ Myers was kicked out of the line to a screening, while they let Richard Dawkins right in. Well, I still haven't gotten around to writing anything more detailed about the movie, but the NCSE is working on a site, Expelled Exposed, aiming to refute many of the inaccuracies in the film (that's a polite way of saying lies). They currently only have links to reviews of the movie, but on April 15th, their full site, with all of their original work, should be available.
Update: It's April 15th, and the full site is now online.

If the scientific community was trying to censor creationists, how did they manage to make a movie about it? Scientists could have easily snuffed out Ben Stein and the director months ago, before this was even a big title. We do have lasers.
I'm debating whether or not to see this. I don't want to contribute money to their cause in any way, but I don't want to dispute a movie I haven't even seen. I already know that it's full of horse shit, but the people that this would effect, love eating horse shit.

Well, somebody has proposed Truth Tickets - making a donation to the NCSE for at least the amount that you're going to spend on tickets to Expelled. That way, even though you're lining the pockets of these frauds, you're offsetting it somewhat by contributing to a good cause.

That's not a bad idea. Since I don't see them as equals, I would have to buy two "Truth Tickets" for my one "fraud ticket".
I went to read the expelled exposed website, but unfortunately their website isn't up. I guess that's good though, must mean there are a significant amount of people wanting to hear the rebuttal. Maybe there are more of us enlightened ones than I thought.

I decided not to go see this. Even offsetting the funding of ignorance with a truth pass doesn't make me feel good about buying a ticket. I decided that the best thing to do would be to wait until it is in the rental stores. As far as I know, once the rental store has purchased a movie to rent, the movie company doesn't get any more money. That way I'll be funding Hollywood Video instead of Expelled: No intelligence needed.
